1/12/2024 0 Comments Red alert 1But they just play very differently from each other with allies normally being the aggressor and soviets being the defender. In fact allies and soviets are quite balanced and both are equally used in pro games. So it's really not about ranking the countries. That makes them perfect for the tanking playstyle and early attacks. They built tanks faster, their tanks move faster and they are cheaper. Ukraine has a movespeed advantage over russia, this is why you use ukraine pretty much only on infinite ore maps and if you're planning to build because having cheaper production is no benefit there.Īllies: Other than russia and ukraine, allies work on any map (which doesn't mean they're the best for every map tho) but apart from very little exceptions like Keep off the grass, it's almost never a mistake to pick allies but you have to be a faster player to make them work. Ukraine is insanely expensive and therefore not usable on any map that has limited resources. Ukraine: Should only be used when money is not a factor and you're a builder rather than a tanker. As a general rule of thumb, use Russia on any map that features only ore (no infinite ore, no gems) or on maps that only have a tiny entrance to your base, because this can be guarded pretty well with teslas. That means, when you've built your first 5 or 6 buildings, you've spent about 1000$ or more less than your opponent using ukraine or allies. Russia: When you're playing a map that has limited resources. Picking a soviet faction in the remaster is generally a mistake. In fact the balance for the remaster is WAY worse than the original game for different reasons. In the remaster, choosing england is a no brainer because light tanks survive tesla zaps. This is different for the remaster, if you play that. Also be aware, that there are just 3 factions in CnCNet RA, because all allied factions have the same bonus. Balance in Red Alert between factions is done by map, not by the factions themselves.
